Linux Issues! 😵‍💫

Hi Y’all,

We’ve noticed some issues with ManyNames on Linux, which is very ironic since that’s the platform we develop on and use for our computers but here we are.

The binary build we distribute works great on most boxes we’ve tested on, but on some Debian versions it seems to mysteriously crash. We suspect it’s due to Debian defaulting to Wayland instead of X11, which is quite a pisser and should Just Work but things can be weird.

If you experience this issue, if you’d send us email at service at aldercone.studio, but also maybe try the Windows build with Wine which seems to consistently work.

Also we’re happy to report we’re reworking the UI which will allow a mobile port and should be more stable/universal on Linux.
