SoundWell

SoundWell is a gravity-based drone generator, which means it creates generative drone music using a gravity simulation, wherein each sound is placed in a body (with a randomized pitch) which orbits the listener in the center.

SoundWell fully supports sound packs, collections of sounds with metadata. We ship a medium-sized pack with many ambient and drone samples taken from public domain sources.

This is an alpha of SoundWell. Development is a work in progress. Future plans include:

• Hot-swappable sound packs.
• Selecting sound banks during playback so that the timbre of the drone can be more controlled.
• Sliding, changing pitch settings per planet, and under user control.
• User control over effects such as the degree of reverb.
• User control over orbital parameters per planet.
